The Inglewood USD near Los Angeles has a job opening for a "Master
Librarian."  The salary range is $57,587 to $81,663 per a 12 month year
with
full benefits.  Requirements:  Master's degree, extensive computer
knowledge,
LMT credential, and 7 years of successful full-time certificated service
(no
fewer than 3 as a LMT or in the field of library service)  Desirable:
Multicultural coursework, administrative credential.  Application

May 14, 1999 has been extended until the position is filled.

Primary responsibilities:  Oversees the implementation of the District's
library plan; head of Library/Media/Textbook Services; plans, organizes,
coordinates, implements, and evaluates District instructional media
programs,
policies, and services in the areas of curricular implementation, library
media technology access, professional development for library media
personnel, ordering of library media materials and textbooks, and
automated
library and textbook systems.
