The SAC's standards are missing from our school. I have requested another copy. However, I need answers to the following questions before 1:00 pm. I told the teachers requesting the info. LM_NET. was the fastest way to find out. 1. Is it against SAC's standards for a high school teacher to teach one or two classes (out of five) per day in a field in which they have taken no classes? For example, can the Latin teacher be assigned to teach one or two foods classes? She has no training in family and consumer sciences. 2. How many classes or hours credit must a high school teacher have to teach in an area that they are not certified to teach? For example, a business teacher is assigned to teach social studies all day? One source says they need 12 hours. Another source says they need 20 hours. Please respond by email or FAX.
