        Did you ever think of a library like a store?  It is run by 1 person=20
who manages,
schedules workers, waits on customers, plans the budget, does inventory,=20
orders, plans
advertising and PR, processes new stock, designs displays, does most=20
maintenance, meets
with other managers of similar stores and other neighboring stores to=20
evaluate and make
future plans and coordinate customer service, does floor moves, answers to =
20
stock holders
and company officers, files reports, coordinates security,  and  tries to=20
offer service with a
smile.
        This survey was designed by students in the class, Foundations of=20
Libraries in
Society, at the University of Delaware. The survey=3Dis being administered =
to=20
classroom
teachers in this school in partial fulfillment of a research assignment. Th=

designed to comment on or establish library policy in your school building.=
