I need some help from friends in Georgia. Our elementary librarians' consultation committee is preparing to negotiate several items for next year. One item is mandated flexible scheduling. I remember reading that Georgia has done that; also, I think I understood that there is no such thing as "whole class check-out" anymore. We have had a big squawk all year about whether flexible scheduling means that classes can have a "scheduled" check-out time (seemed obvious to me, but hey- what do I know? I'm only the librarian.) Is there a web site available where I can view your library standards that include the information on flexible scheduling? If not, would someone be willing to fax me the portion of the standards that addresses this subject. Thank you very much!
