At the risk of adding "just one more" comment, I do not feel that librarians are "whining" that "no one understands us." While there are many, many good and effective principals, there are also some real lemons out there. There are bullies, dictators, pushovers, and those who are just in over their heads. They are equally detrimental to teachers, librarians, and especially students. Teachers' organizations need to be aware of principals who are difficult to work with - in our district it did cause some changes to be made. Not everyone is cut out to be an administrator. Sometimes we do get stuck with one of these people. While it is sometimes possible to make lemonade from the lemon you have, sometimes you just have to sit tight and wait for a change in leadership. Thanks for listening!
