Hoop Dreams.Author(s)?

We have several copies of Hoop Dreams; one calls Ben Joravsky the author,
the other lists Paul Robert Walker. B & T cataloguing puts both books in 92
J ;but the one with C.I.P uses  796.3. One calls itself "based on the award
winning film". the other says it's a "young adult adaptation based on the
film" One tells us the publisher is Turner Publications (1995); the other
published by Harper (1995) says "it was originally published by Turner
Publishing. And is here reprinted."  I haven't been able to find any
parallel passages in the two books, although they both deal with the same
boys.  I do have two different books, don't I? Any further comments?
