I don't know about that... The kids have looked, and found, at least a part
of "Fritz" in every book we own of his...and I think we have them all!  (They
are so meticulous) For example, in _Two Bad Ants_, the dog is hidden in the
"grindings" of the disposal, and in _The Wretched Stone_, just a  piece of
his tail is showing. In another, Fritz is on a wine label! (I think in _The
Sweetest Fig_.) We love those books, and the kids are obsessive about finding
the dog.
