TECH: Help! just installed Netscape 4.7, having major trouble

First of all, my mail box was empty tonight.  CANNOT be!  LM_NET alone puts
7-10 digests in my box every day.  There are other frustrations, like
having AOL instant messenger always popping on my screen and not being able
to figure out how to trash it.

I seem to be able to send mail and I sent a test message to myself and got it.

what can I do??  (cry from the wilderness...)
