FFrom owner-lm_net@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Thu Nov 4 10:08:18 1999 repost. Am trying again... The technology committee at my elementary school has been given the mission of drawing up rules for our newly created computer lab, consisting of 16 new imacs in an "open classroom" environment. In close proximity are two fourth grade classrooms and a special ed class. These classes share the same overall instructional space, with no walls separating one from the other. We're both excited, yet somewhat anxious, about our new lab, as we're not sure how distracting the students' enthusiasm and computer operations will be for those sitting feet away from the lab. My question is this: if you were to develop rules for the lab, which ones would you include? We're hoping to include rules that govern conduct, procedures, and general guidelines for staff using the lab, as it'll be a new experience for them, too. Thanks for your support. You guys are the greatest.
