I wholeheartedly agree with Cheryl.  Some schools and teachers have turned
AR in an ugly monster. When I was at an Elem. I brought AR into the Media
Center for the same reasons Cheryl stated. Yesterday I spoke with a friend
who said that her school had a parent library with AR tests. They encouraged
parents and teachers to take AR tests "to get the points up" to the goal
they had set at the beginning of the year! She and I are both appalled.
