Greetings:

Our 5th grade teachers are in need of a non-fiction title
that they can use in their language arts curriculum with ties to social
studies curriculum. They had selected "Witnesses to freedom : young
people who fought for civil rights" but now realize obtaining multiple
copies will be difficult. Can any of you recommend similar titles? The
appeal of "Witnesses to freedom" was its civil rights topic, young
people focus, and 5th grade reading level. Other social studies topics
they would use are - economics or government. May even use a physical
science based title if available. If you can offer any suggestions, we
will be most grateful.

Thank you.
