LM_NET: Library Media Networking

When I was in college, less than ten years ago...but only just...one of
my professors told us that if she ever caught us requiring kids to
memorize dewey categories, she would be very disappointed. Her reasoning
being that  if they need to know it, they can look it up, and if it's an
area they are interested in, they will learn that the sports books are
at 796. Any other opinions out there?
