Hi LM-NEtter's We have reached week 5 on this reading contest thing that Scholastic dreamed up, and I am about to hit the wall. I wish it were over at eight weeks, because then the end would be in sight. What I was wondering is are there very many schools participating in this? We are a middle school, and calls to Scholastic have gotten me zero information on how many schools are actually perservering with this contest. My principal turned it over to me to organize, so organizing I am. Who is chairing the program in your school? I know Scholastic isn't collecting statistics until the eighth week, but it would be nice to now how other schools are doing, so I will throw my stats out in hopes of hearing from others. We have 1400 students here. We avarage about 400 kids participating each week and our avarage over the whole school is 15 minutes per student per day. I hope I am not alone out there!
