For whatever it may be worth to you all, I have a friend who is the chief
technology officer for a small software company.  It's his job to select
hardware and software (among other things...).  He is moving his company to
Windows NT and will not allow Windows 98 or 2000 at all.  He feels it's too
vulnerable, because the programming is done in visual basic.  NT has fewer
problems, in his opinion.  He's still running Windows 95 until the NT
conversion is completed.

We also have nearly 3 year old machines running Windows 95 and are doing
fine.  I have 98 at home and personally dislike some of the changes.... :/
