I was recently asked by a teacher at my school for some suggestions for a novel that deals with Native Americans, and is appropiate for High School. We are a Middle School, but she has a friend who teaches at Laurel, Montana and they need another title to replace Fools Crow by James Welch. Last year it was challenged and removed from the school. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i went to the archive, but found nothing appropiate for HS. If there is an interest I will post a hit to the list.
