HIT: reading counts

These are the replies that were sent to me regarding the new Reading Counts
program from Scholastic. Thanks to everyone that replied. Our assistant
principals feels much better about the purchase now.

Ann, we have had Reading Counts up and running for the past 3 weeks.  It
has gone very smoothly.  We upgraded (free) from Electronic Bookshelf, and
all our data transferred fine.

I have had nothing but positive comments on it.

Ann, we switched our jr. high from AR to Reading Counts.  We've had Reading
Counts running for two weeks now.  Everyone LOVES it.  Tests are much
better.  Retesting is wonderful.  Kids love the feature where they can
register their opinions. Installed smoothly and is running perfectly.

We are using Reading Counts and are very happy with it.  The kids love it
and it's management module is easy to administer.  We upgraded from
Electronic Bookshelf but right now our elementary principal is considering
switching from AR to RC..I personally think the ability to retake a test is
a plus and a must for students and the larger test bank of questions per
book is how we keep our students from "cheating" at the ms/hs level.  If you
want specifics, let me know and I will try and help you out.
