I believe the "two" versions refer only to the covers. The English edition
has a rather young looking Harry Potter, and on the front cover (of
Potter II)is the
seal for an award given to it for 9-11 year olds best book. (An annual
prize - I gave my copy away, so I can't remember what it is). The
American publishers deliberately made the covers with subdued colors and
an older looking Potter so that adults and older teenagers wouldn't be
