Dear Group and Frederick,
I too read Mr. Was in the spring based upon positive reviews, but I
chose not to add it to my collection.  It was a great novel with
wonderful character development.  It was a real page turner.  But the
underlying themes of alcoholism, spousal abuse,  and the violent ending
forced me to reconsider it.  Others in conservative communities may want
to read this novel before adding it to their collection.  Just my humble
opinion . . .
