Hi folks, Please help if you can! A sixth grade teacher called from our middle school. One of her students, a girl, is having trouble forgiving her brother after he caused a fire that burned down two outbuildings and threatened their house. The girl is a voracious reader and the teacher would like to recommend fiction dealing with guilt/forgiving/healing, especially involving a sibling or family member. After a good deal of searching, I have come up with these titles: One-Eyed Cat by Fox To Grandmother's House We Go by Roberts Whirligig by Fleischman On My Honor by Bauer I have the first two to skim at home tonight, but could use advice on the appropriateness of all these titles or any recommendations you might have for better choices. I will be very grateful for any and all help you can give me!
