--=====================_25823571==_.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hello, While reading posts in the archive concerning Teen Read Week, I came across a message contained in a HIT that suggested a cyber book chat room. Great idea. The name of the member making the suggestion was not included in the HIT. Has anyone launched a cyber book chat successfully? If so, I have a few questions and would welcome any advice. 1. Are titles/authors/genre for each month posted in the beginning of the year, viz, how much lead time do you find is required? 2. Does the moderator, presumably the librarian, start the discussion with a few questions, or is it better to let the student participants direct the flow? 3. Is the chat monitored? If so, how? 4. Do you issue passwords, or can anyone participate? 5. Did you conduct this on an Internet server, or on your Intranet server? Thanks in advance.
