Good morning!
I am in a PK-5 school in South Carolina. I have to teach whatever the
teachers request in the media center. In other words, I do not make up the
curriculum for the media center, the teachers decide what I am to teach in
connection with the PACT strands. Next month I am supposed to teach
journals/diaries as historical records. I do not want to teach Ann Frank to
fifth graders and I am stuck as far as what else I can use. I know the
Little House books are fiction.

What would you suggest that is age appropriate and that has been accepted as
a historical record?

TIA for any ideas.
