TECH: Removing sticky masking tape residue

Hi Netters:  We have received used computers through the Seeds Program.
They are Mac's Performa series
formerly used by a military base.  The problem is that they used sticky
masking tape everywhere and we need to clean them.   We can easily remove
the masking tape but there remains a sticky  surface.   We have tried gum
remover, Fantastic, 409 etc.  Does anyone know what else we could use?
