TECH: Follett/Winnebago

Greetings,

I have not been a part of this listserv for about a year, so I feel out of
touch.

I work in a medium sized district that has had some schools using Follett
circ/cat and some using Winnebago. An arbitrary decision has been made by
the district to switch all school libraries to Winnebago. I have some
concerns about what this is going to mean to those of us having to switch
from Follett to Winnebago in both the short term and the long run.  If any
one has been through this experience, please share some of your insights
with me. Specifically, did you have any problems with the transfer of MARC
data? reading of barcode labels? how long did the whole process take? Did
you have any major problems I haven't thought about yet? What were your
reasons for making the change in the first place and how do you feel about
the change since you have completed it?

I appreciate the time anyone takes in answering these concerns.
