8th gr. reading list

Hey!
I've got two questions.
1. Does anybody know where I could get suggestions for, or does anybody
have any suggestions for, an 8th grade reading list - a list that would
be both interesting to the eith-grader and at his/her level.
2. Does anybody know where on the net I could find class size - staffing
ratios for elementary school?  i.e. how many children should a teacher
have in a class?  What class isze merits an aide as well as a teacher?
