Hi Folks;

Here is the Hit that was requested.
I think I have thanked everyone personally, if not I am thanking you
now. Thanks from Rob too, the SS & HX teacher.

Try Primary Sources' "American Journey" 8 CD-ROM"s Hispanic, African
American, Asian, Westward... I don't remember the others off hand.

I highly recommend DISCovering U.S. History and DISCovering World
History. They are produced by Gale. We have both the CD-ROM version
and
Internet access.

We have American Decades on CD-ROM and the students love it. It is
produced by Gale Research

Cobblestone-all of the magazines on CD-ROM

"Landmark Documents in American History"
        from Facts on File

We really like SIRS Discoverer cd-rom on our library
network

SIRS - Social Issues Researcher has tons of articles and is easy to use
-
grades 7 and up but really better for high school depending on student
reading level

Middle Search - has tons of articles from a huge range of periodicals -
great for grades 7 and up and very easy to use. Not all are full text
but I
think it's better than MAS which we used to receive. Also, you get an
update every month so you end up with lots of CD's for a number of
students
to use.

Thanks again,
Mary Anderson
Head of Library
Ekamai International School
