Date: September 6, 1999 FRom: Tricia de Winter LIbrarian -Holy Rosary Catholic School - Arlington, Texas Reply to: dematc@aol.com THanks to all of those who responded to my request for Potter ideas. You guys are fast! I checked out the scholastic website thanks to a helpful suggestion I received today. It is: http://www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/funngames.htm The site offers three games. It is a bit limited but I did print out the unscrambling activity and plan to pass it on to the teacher who is using Potter's books. It looks pretty good. Another suggestion was to check out Amazon.com as they have Magical Candy Contest going on for kids, but the deadline is 9/30/99 to invent a wizard candy. It looks like fun if you have the time. Another good response suggested having students -when they get to the "mirror part" of the novel, write about what he or she would see in the mirror given the chance. Thanks again!!!!!
