TARGET, ELEM: Introducing NonFiction

Hi,
    I'm only a second year media coordinator, however several of the new
media hires for our county are coming to observe a second grade class
I'm teaching next week.  The class session lasts for 45 min., including
checkout.  I'm looking for ideas/lesson plans to introduce NonFiction.
I would really like a combination nonfiction short story/activity.  Any
ideas will be helpful and I will post a HIT.
