Happy Unlurking Day for September...

I have learned so much from LM_NET in the past few years I have been on
it. It really is much like a small community where you learn the
participants and whether you really want to listen to them, or trust
their answers, or whatever.
At the present I am working on my ALA masters in library and information
science at San Jose State University in California, so I commute from
Nevada to go to class. I have experience in school libraries from the
pre-school to the college level. My office is located in the College of
Education, University of Nevada, Reno. Our school district is going
through lots of changes and upheavals, as are many others around the
country. As someone posted why in this, for the USA, supposedly
"prosperous" economy are libraries finding it so difficult to continue
or increase funding? Quick, we only have a few months to solve the
mystery of this century!!
