Greetings from Arkansas

Hi, I'm Marvel Dickerson, Library Media Specialist at West Jr. High in
Blytheville, AR. Blytheville is in the Delta about 60 miles north of
Memphis, TN.   This is a 7-9 school which will be convereted next year to
7-8.  I have mixed emotions about that change because I enjoy 9th grade
students who are finally showing some signs of maturity. I've been here at
West for five years.  I am a former English and Spanish teacher.  My e-mail
address at school is mdickers@hotmail.com and my home email is
bdickerson@arkansas.net.  For some reason my school have been unable to
connect to email through the district server since new cards were installed
two years ago.  (Yes my address has been reentered on the server).  I don't
know if the list will accept my posting today because of the commercials on
hotmail--that's one reason I've been a lurker because past postings were
disallowed--maybe today is an exception.  I appreciate all the tips and help
I get on the list and wish you all a good school year.  I am looking forward
to AASL in Birmingham--will there be an LM_NET group there?
P.S. I'm eagerly awaiting the third Harry Potter book any day now.  I've
really enjoyed them.  Also, for personal reading, I love the Jan Karon
Mitford series.
