I guess I have two issues at hand here. I do want to build a library page this year, with simple research info on it and places to look for research as well as maybe favorite author pages or author of the month and I want to envolve some 3rd graders as an after school tech club project. I am not exactly sure what I would have them do as yet. What is your suggestion? I have thought of letting them have a section of the page that would compare to a column of a newspaper and would be the same each month, such as spotlight a particular class and its activites. Since it would be after school, they would have to communicate with the teacher of the class by email to find out what is going on in her class and then use communication skills to put together the info so as to share with other. If you have any other ideas please share with me. Mainly, I want to stay simple and let this group experience technology usage and it be a nice finished product. We would probably only meet once a week for 45minutes, so I know it needs to be simple and finishable, if that makes sense. As you can see I am still in the planning stages so all advice is welcomed.
