Hello!
After lurking for at least a couple of years, I wanted to take advantage of
this opportunity to unlurk. Last night I tried to post a message from home,
only to be reminded that I am subscribed with my work email address. So I'm
giving it another try- better late than never!

I have been a media specialist at the elementary, junior high, and senior
high level over the years. I am in my second year as an instructional
media/technology consultant with our area education agency. (Iowa is
divided into 15 areas for this purpose.) I depend on LM_NET to keep me
informed about the latest happenings and hot topics in our profession. Now
that I am expected to be even more of an "expert" on everything imaginable,
it's a great resource!

I also teach an online course for the University of Northern Iowa called
"Information Literacy and Problem-Based Learning with the WWW." Check it
out at http://www.uni.edu/profdev/infolit/ It's a great way to earn grad
credit from the comfort of your computer. This and the other online courses
will begin on Sept. 27.
