If your school has an institutional membership to Reading For the Blind & Dyslexic, would you mind answering (or finding out from someone in the district) a few questions? 1)Whose budget funds the annual membership fee? (library? learning specialist? child study team?) 2)Where are the recorded textbooks kept (stored) when not in use? 3)They mention discounts on "4-track tape players." Is this some special piece of equipment that must be used with these tapes, or can any old walkman, for example, serve as well? And how much do these machines cost? Thank you for taking time to answer if you can. Please be aware that I'm concerned ONLY with this organization's membership program, not with collections of ordinary books on tape. And I have all the information I need from them, that's not an issue. I need to know how other schools are handling this. Please respond to my email address, not the entire list.
