Hi All, First of all, yes, I do read my collection, but as it was inherited and has about 1,000 picture books and this is only my second year, I'm slowly making my way around it. But for now, I depend upon my online catalog and came up with nothing. Okay...here's my request. Can anyone recommend a book(s) that can be used in a comparison/contrasting lesson to show healthy and unhealthy foods. Preferrably fiction and for a first grade class. I used that Pumpkin unit post idea for teaching Venn Diagrams with another class and now this teacher wants something similar. I looked at an old Aileen Fischer book in our collection (the only promising item from the search term (food, health), but it wasn't quite what the teacher needed. I used "food" as a search in the archives and didn't come up with anything for this particular request (but lots of other neat ideas!). Thanks for any responses and I'll post a hit if requested.
