I am hoping my very knowledgeable colleagues can help me out. I am looking for literature that could be used in career education for grades 6-12. Anything with themes about work, careers, abilities, skills, aptitudes, goals, self-fulfillment, personal strengths etc. Am particularly interested in novels, plays, or poetry, not non-fiction. Novels like Jacob Have I Loved, Tex, The Giver and Catcher in the Rye are what I had in mind. Please respond to my personal e-mail. Thank you. M. P. The classroom copies are too tattered to use. Does = anyone have suggestions for a meaningful story at the high 5th or 6th = grade level?
