Target: Primary Books

Friends,
We have just had the death of a dear second grader from Leigh's Disease. We
watched him slowly fail as there is no cure. Today a woman from his church
approached me to say that the members were collecting money and wanted to
donate books in his memory. She mentioned his fascination with snakes and
monsters( silly as opposed to frightening ones). She wants me to recommend
some titles for them to choose from. She also said they wanted fiction for
grades 2-3. The time pressure sends me to you all for your always super
help.
Any titles that express the joy of the life of a child that are favorites
would also be welcomed.
This is a very special family who has another child with the same illness
and she is also in our second grade. With four healthy children, I
continually count my blessings.
