Bonnie and Clyde was actually set in the 30s.

One librarian had a concern about The Sting. "Where Redford and Newman stay
when they're planning the "sting" - with the carousel, etc - that is a "house
of ill repute" - and (I think) questionable for use in a school.  They don't
show anything - at one point, Newman's in bed with his lady friend but
they're just sitting there.  But it is pretty clear what sort of place it is."
