To one and all, I've been asked by my Library Science Professor to become an expert on weeding policies for an assignment. I figured that since I have access to an unlimited number of experts that I would put my questions to you. 1. What is your general weeding policy? 2. What shaped your current policy? 3. What kind of problems have you encountered with weeding? 4. What kind of advice do you have for dealing with common weeding problems? 5. What kind of resources have you found useful in weeding? 6. What kind of input do you get before you weed a collection? 7. What time of the year is it good to weed a collection? I would appreciate any insights you have on these questions! Thanks, Jason Flynn Evening Circulation Supervisor, Mansfield Library, The University of Montana Budding School Library Media Specialist rocket@selway.umt.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
