Hello all! I am a new subscriber to LM_NET with a question about SSR (Sustained Silent Reading). I am curious if it is a program currently practiced in your school. If so, is it practiced school wide and/or district wide, and does this time set aside each day pertain to just students, or staff as well (for modelling recreational reading). Any other thoughts or comments you may have would be helpful about programs on sustained silent reading, especially whether or not you find it works as a reading motivational technique within your particular school and/or district.
