I have two questions for any iMac aficianado's out there! 1) I recently got three of the new iMac's that have the DVD slot in front. They are all running OS 9.04 and I have downloaded all the updates I can find. Even so, I am still having problems with all three of these machines. Each one of them will intermittently and randomly power down. Sometimes it is while someone is in the middle of using one of them, while other times we simply can't get them to turn on. The only way that I have found to get them to power back up is to turn the machine over so the monitor is face down on the table (as if you are trying to get the serial number off the bottom of the machine), and then as it is being uprighted, you can hear it power up! My computer support person suspected that they might be going to sleep and not waking up, but we thought upgrading from OS 9.0 to 9.04 might rectify it (which it didn't). I have also set them all so that they don't go to sleep, but this problem is still occurring. Any thoughts out there? 2) We are networked and I currently have a 2 Compaqs and 2 G3's networked and running Library World (through At Ease). We would also like to put our iMac's on the network and have them run Library World as well, but my computer support person has not been able to get this to work while also using At Ease. I saw in archives that running At Ease has been a problem with iMacs, but was wondering if anyone has found a way to make it work. If we can't get it to work, how awful do you think it would be to not run At Ease on these iMac's? Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give!
