Color coded cataloging

I could not resist sharing a story from many years ago when I was working =
in the Purdue University Main Library. A new graduate teaching assistant =
came to the reference desk and said that he had been searching the bound =
periodicals for a certain title and could not find it. The librarian on =
duty looked up the journal in the periodicals catalog and led the fellow =
to the volumes in the stacks. "Oh," he responded, "This is bound in blue =
at MIT."

I do enjoy some of the digressions I find here.
