Dear Friends of Books, Media, Technology, .......

I am going to be leaving this wonderful listserv as I have accepted another
position which will require my presence on other listservs.

I have been a media specialist for almost 17 years. I have been a Director of
Instructional Media K-12 for the last seven years.

I am now going to a new position as Assistant Principal for Curriculum at the
high school in my district. I am very excited about the move for the following
reasons: I will have more direct contact with students and teachers; I will
get to work with curriculum which I love; and I will joining a great group of
teachers and administrators.

As a building administrator I hope to incorporate information skills into all
curricula and to encourage, of course, the proactive stance of the media
center. I think I will also end conversations with teachers with the
question,"What good book are you currently reading?". I will always emphasize
the importance of reading, quality media centers, and the Big 6 method. Don't
you think the Big 6 method could be used to create units of study and even
curriculum documents? My head is spinning at the moment, but I have a lot of
ideas I hope to try.

Since I can't leave this group completely because all of you are such a source
of inspiration and great resources, I am going to set my account to the LM_NET
Digest method of receiving messages and see how that goes.

If I can offer back any of the encouragement or resources in payment for those
that you have given me, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Vicki
