One of the best vendors for school libraries, Follett Library Resources
(800-435-6170), has the new edition: Famous First Facts: International
Edition, by Steven Anzovin, H.W.Wilson, c2000, for $104.96. I like ordering
from them because Follett has very good cataloging services; they will sell
you as little as one book at a time, and they don't charge shipping.
Follett also has both an excellent print catalog and an outstanding online
catalog. The online catalog is called TitleWave which you can use after you
receive a free password from them. Go to http://www.flr.follett.com.

You could instead order directly from the publisher without cataloging:
H.W. Wilson (800-367-6770) at $105.00 plus shipping. It's worth asking them
for their print catalog. (You can see a description of the book at their
online catalog, http://www.hwwilson.com.)

Another jobber to go to for titles that Follett doesn't carry is Mackin
Library Media which will supply and catalog any book in print in any
binding. Their cataloging is not quite as thorough as Follett, but
acceptable. I like to order a book from Mackin after I check it in Amazon
to be sure it is in print. It's a good place to get your paperback fiction,
for example. Mackin puts out a useful, picky print catalog twice a year of
recommended books, and an online catalog which is, however, not as easy to
use as Follett's or Amazon's. For Mackin, call 800-245-9540 or go to
http://www.mackin.com.
