Thank you for the many responses to my query: I am now using Word 2000. In earlier versions of Word, I was always able to insert images into Word documents and then drag them to where I wanted them on the page. I cannot figure out how to do this in Word 2000. My images are anchored and cannot be dragged unless I put a text box around them. I simply want to drag my images around! Any suggestions? To move an image: Click on image to select Right Click on Image Click on Format Picture Click on Layout Select a wrapping style (other than "in line with text") OR Click on image to select Click on Format Picture (from toolbar) Click on Layout Select a wrapping style (other than "in line with text") From the responses I have received, it seems as though a picture is inserted into a Word 2000 document with default wrapping style "in line with text." This wrapping style does not allow for dragging. If you are still reading this message and know of a way to change the default to "in front of text," I would love to know how to do this.
