TARGET: Canon Optura digital video camera

Hi folks,
Has anyone purchased the Canon Optura digital video camera?  I'm looking
for feedback (positive and negative) since we are considering purchasing
one for our middle school.  Has it  lived up to your expectations?    Any
complaints?  Have you used the film adapter or the video editor?  All
comments would be appreciated.
