Is there another name for "9th Grade Academy"

    I'm doing research on the 9th grade academy.  This is where a school
is organized so that freshmen are "contained" on their own hall, and do
not have to mix with other students.  I think that this set-up decreases
discipline and academic problems, but I cannot find anything on the
web.  I must be calling it by the wrong name.  Any ideas out there?
