Help Advocating for Support Staff

Dear Colleagues,

I am a librarian intern attempting to learn about librarianship in public
schools. I sent a posting to this list more than a week ago asking for any
experience you have advocating for support staff at the elementary level.
The responses suggest that getting enough support staff is a problem at all
levels. I did not get any response that suggested that anyone has had any
success advocating for staff support.

I would be interested in any helpful suggestion you might have on how to
advocate for staff support at any level. I would also be interested in what
you see as the barriers to successful advocacy as well.
