I just had to jump in here. I love Amazon.com. I have placed somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 orders since 1997. This is a combination of both personal and school stuff. I can think of a few mistakes that were made and each time Amazon.com resolved the problem quickly and to greater satisfaction than I would have expected. One time they upgraded shipping for a book and it took longer to get here than it should have. When I contacted them to say that they shouldn't pay the shipper for "expedited service", they apologized profusely and sent me a gift certificate. Yesterday, I received a paperback edition of one of their "bargain books" I had ordered in hardback. It wasn't an hour after contacting them, that they apologized and said that they would not charge me for the book since the hardcover was out of stock. I use Amazon.com almost exclusively since we only have a very small Walden's Book store locally. However, I not sure I would change this if I were in a larger city. (They send me presents at Christmas, too.) When you handle such volumes, mistakes are sure to be made, but we also have to be understanding, cordial, and allow them to resolve situations for mutual satisfaction. Carole -- Carole L.
