TECH: Laptop purchase advice

A sixth grade classroom in our 6-8 middle school is planning to purchase
15-20 laptops to create a computer-intensive classroom.  Our two major
requirements are wireless connectivity to the building server and capacity
to run Windows NT.

I have searched the archives and read and re-read a hit on laptops.  Based
on that information and other inquiries, we requested eBuddies from
Earthwalk, some of which are already in our district.  Our tech dept,
however, has not been totally pleased with eBuddy performance and is pushing
us to find an alternative.

I would be interested in hearing from other eBuddy users, and from users of
other laptops that have wireless connectivity and NT.
