Hello everyone, I am need of some help. I have a new principal who insist that I return to a fixed schedule due to some teachers complaining about the flexible schedule I had implemented three years ago. These teachers are the ones who do not like change and therefore would not schedule times in the library no matter how hard I tried. I would like to know what time limit people who are on a fixed schedule use. I have the following number of classes per grade. K-8 1st-10 2nd-8 3rd-7 4th-6 Special Ed-3 I figured that the older children should have the longer lesson times such as 35-45 minutes, with K having 20. This will also include their checkout time. I can't have two things going on at the same time in the library so I have to consolidate their lesson and book swap time. Before they had a separate 15 minutes book swap each week. I also allowed for the students to come and swap books at any time. But no I only will have open swap from 7:30-8:00 each morning. I also have to work in a 45 min plan time and a 30 min lunch. So any suggestions would be most helpful! By the way I have already searched the archives and have not found anything that would help my situation. Thanks in advance.
