LM_NET 08/19/00: No Subject

As I was walking back to my car today after a political rally for a
presidential candidate I was interviewed by a reporter from Time
magazine and I was able to put in a plug for school libraries and public
education for grades K-12.  I mentioned specifically the age of books in
school library collections and the lack of funding for school libraries.
 It would really be cool if Time publishes some of my comments and it
would be even better if it caused congress to put some money into
education and school libraries.
